Custom Wireless Chargers With Logo: A Sourcing Guide

How to source custom wireless chargers with your logo: wattage and Qi2 alignment, surface-specific branding, MOQ, sampling, and quality checks.

A wireless charger is one of the few promotional items that earns a permanent spot on a desk. A pen drifts into a drawer and a tote gets reused for groceries, but a charging pad stays where the phone goes — beside the monitor, on the nightstand, in the hotel bag. That fixed position is why a logo on a charger keeps working long after the campaign has ended.
The category is crowded. One large US promotional distributor lists just over 100 wireless charger products, and several models were out of stock when we checked — catalog demand is running ahead of stocked supply. Factory listings for foldable 3-in-1 units show thousands sold at unit prices starting around $3. This guide covers what to specify, how branding behaves on different surfaces, and which checks separate a good sample from a return-heavy shipment.

Why Wireless Chargers Hold Their Place

The case is simple: the item is used daily, needs no explanation, and carries your mark where people look constantly.
It also fits several gifting moments at different price points — a cheap pad for a trade show, a stand for a client thank-you, a 3-in-1 station for executive gifting.
The channel still buys. PPAI Research reported distributors grew 2.8% in July–August 2026 versus 2025, with suppliers up 2.1%. With the next PPAI Expo in January, Q1 trade show programs are being planned now — which is when charger orders get placed.

What Changed: Qi2, Magnets, and 15W

Magnetic alignment. Older pads failed when a phone sat a centimeter off-center. Magnetic mounting (the MagSafe-style ring) fixes alignment mechanically, and factory listings now show magnetic foldable 3-in-1 units moving in the thousands.
Qi2 and higher wattage. Qi2 adds a magnetic profile to the Qi standard. For charger-only products, 15W is the practical mainstream spec; 5W pads remain the entry tier, and 20W–25W designs appear mostly in magnetic power bank hybrids.
Compression. Foldable stands and GaN-based designs shrink the travel footprint for gift sets that ship internationally.

Matching Wattage to Actual Phones

Wattage on the box is not the same as wattage into the phone. A 15W pad delivers its top rate only with a compatible handset, a compatible adapter (many designs specify 9V/2A input), and correct alignment.
5W — slow but fine for overnight charging; the cheapest tier and still the volume leader for giveaways.
7.5W / 10W — the middle ground; older iPhones cap at 7.5W on standard Qi.
15W — the current mainstream for Android flagships; iPhones need magnetic alignment to reach their top rate.
Auto-adjusting designs — many pads negotiate 5W/10W/15W automatically, the safest spec for mixed-fleet programs.
Case thickness matters as much as wattage. Thick cases, metal plates, and pop sockets reduce or block charging; magnetic cases align better and usually restore full speed.

Form Factors and Who They Suit

Desk pads. Lowest unit cost and easiest to personalize at volume — best for reach-focused giveaways.
Stands. The phone faces the user during calls, so the logo stays in view — a stronger client gift.
3-in-1 stations. Phone, watch, and earbuds on one base. The premium tier, and the one most likely to be kept at home.
Desk organizers. A charger with a pen cup disappears into daily work instead of competing for space. A bamboo, cork, and wheat straw pen-holder charger stays visible on a desk for years.
Travel combos. A 3-in-1 wireless charging card wallet and phone stand in PU leather doubles as a wallet and stand — useful for everyday-carry programs.
Desk sets. A wheat straw 3-in-1 with phone stand and writing tablet covers three desk jobs in one footprint. For a wired fallback in the same kit, pair it with a 5-in-1 bamboo charging cable set.

Branding by Surface

Logo method depends on the substrate.
Bamboo and wood — laser engraving: permanent and ink-free. Expect grain variation; bold shapes engrave cleanly, hairlines do not.
Cork — engraves or debosses well but swallows fine text.
Wheat straw composite — matte, speckled surface for UV or pad printing; light colors work best.
PU leather — deboss or foil stamping for a premium look.
ABS/PC plastic — silk screen or UV printing: widest color range, lowest cost per unit.
If the brief calls for an illuminated mark, that is a different construction; our guide to light-up logo promotional products covers the LED engineering.
Supply vector artwork and request a proof on the actual material before production — a mark that looks crisp on screen can disappear into a bamboo grain.

Compliance Documents to Request

Ask the supplier for Qi certification and test reports for the charging module, plus the destination-market documents your program needs — CE for the EU, FCC for the US, RoHS for restricted substances. Confirm the exact requirements for each market you ship into, and verify the reports rather than assume.
Also confirm safety features in writing: foreign object detection (FOD), over-temperature protection, over-current and short-circuit protection. Well-built units list them; assemblers often do not.

MOQ, Sampling, and Lead Times

Factory listings show a wide MOQ spread: stock designs with a printed logo can start at a handful of pieces, branded colors or packaging move into the low hundreds, and custom tooling pushes minimums into the thousands. Treat any number as a typical industry range and confirm it against your artwork and packaging.
Sampling is the step to protect. Request a pre-production sample decorated with your logo, then test it on the phones your recipients actually use.
Lead times follow the same logic: standard runs take weeks, tooling adds time, and Q4 plus the Q1 trade show season is peak. Book capacity early. US catalog suppliers advertise 24-hour rush on stocked items, but that is a domestic-warehouse service — factory production plus international shipping is a different clock.
For price context only, public listings show US catalog pads at roughly $6.75–$11.25, stands around $10–$20, 3-in-1 stations $15–$40, and bamboo models $12–$36; factory-direct listings show basic pads from about $1.20 and 3-in-1 or magnetic units in the $3–$12 band. These are approximate references, not quotes.

Quality Checks Before Bulk

Run these on the sample and again on a production unit:
Coil alignment — charge at each corner of the pad.
Thermal — 30 minutes of charging; a hot pad signals a poor design.
Foreign object detection — keys or coins should stop charging.
Case compatibility — thick case, magnetic case, pop socket.
Logo durability — rub and alcohol-wipe test.
Wattage meter — confirm the advertised output on a real phone.
Packaging drop test — especially for individually shipped gift sets.

FAQ

Do all phones support wireless charging?

No. Most flagships since the iPhone 8 generation and recent Android flagships support Qi, but entry-level and older models may not. Check the recipient list first.

Is 15W worth the extra cost over 5W?

For daily desk use, yes. For overnight charging or large low-budget giveaways, a 5W or auto-adjusting pad is often better value.

Can a logo be engraved on bamboo or cork?

Yes — laser engraving is standard on both. Expect grain variation, and avoid fine text or gradients the texture will swallow.

What is a typical MOQ and lead time?

Stock designs with printed logos can start at very low volumes; custom colors, packaging, or tooling typically raise the MOQ into the hundreds or thousands. Lead times are typical industry ranges and tighten in peak season — confirm with the supplier.

Planning the Order

If the chargers are headed for Q4 gifting or Q1 trade shows, the calendar is already tight. Start with a decorated sample, lock the artwork, and confirm compliance documents before bulk production.
